In the Hour of Fate and Danger

Ferenc Andai was born in Budapest, Hunagry in 1925. In 1944, Ferenc and thousands of other Hungarian men were taken to forced labour camps in Serbia to do slave labor for the last year of the war. In 1957, Ferenc moved to Canada where he obtained a MA in Slavic Studies from the Universite de Montreal as well as a teaching diploma from McGill University. In addition, he earned his PhD in history from Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest. He became a history teacher as well as a head of a high school social science department. He died in 2013.
