In Fragile Moments: The Last Time

Eva Shainblum was born in Nagyvarad, Hungary in 1927. In the spring of 1944, Eva is forced into ghettos and then she was deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau. She clung to her older sister in the camp. Both of them lived in a displaced persons camp after the war, before immigrating to Montreal, Canada in 1948. Eva started work as a bookkeeper, as well as raising her own family. To this day she still lives in Montreal.
