Judith Rubinstein was born in Mezocsat, Hungary in 1920. When Judith was deported to Auschwitz in 1944, her mother saves her life, but after that Judith is alone in the camp. After being liberated she moved to Italy where she lived in a displaced persons camp. She met her husband and they had a baby together. The three of them moved to Canada in 1948. Judith went on to live a full life in Canada, having another child along with 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She also spoke frequently at the Neuberger Holocaust Centre before dying in 2013.
