Nate Leipciger was born in Chorzow, Poland in 1928. He was just a shy 11 year old boy when he was taken through a series of ghettos, before being taken to Auschwitz-Birkenau. He and his father gained an unbreakable bond. After Nate is liberated, the weight of everything still beared upon him. However, he immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1948, where he went to university and got a degree in engineering. Nate was a member of the International Council of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum for 15 years and has been an educator on the March of the Living for 19 years. Today he still lives in Toronto.
