Eddie Klein was born in Sieradz, Poland in 1927. Ever since he was a little kid, Eddie had always written and recited poetry, incluing during his time in the Lodz ghetto. In August of 1944, Eddie was arrested and taken to Auschwitz-Birkenau where he had to face these horrors alone. When he was finally liberated in 1945, Eddie immigrated to British Mandate Palestine in 1945. He met his wife Miriam and he worked with the Israeli Airforce, before moving to Canada in 1956. He took an interest in windsurfing and he lived in Montreal for more than 60 years before he died in 2020.
