Carry the Torch: A Lasting Legacy

Johnny (Ephroim) Jablon was born in Krakow, Poland in 1926. He lived with his parents and brothers, being deported to ghettos together before being brutally seperated in October of 1942. He started at Plaszow camp in Krakow in 1943, working a job in the carpentry workshop. He is then sent to Auschwitz and Mauthausen camp systems. After the being liberated in May of 1945, Johnny moved to Montreal, Canada in 1948. He wrote his book A Lasting Legacy, which parallels with Sam Weisberg’s Carry the Torch. He died in 2023
